Improving Relationships and Mental Health with STUF Life Education

As our children convert to online education and families spend more time together than amidst the pandemic, the past year saw never-ending changes to all our lives. Parents are giving their all in transitioning their children to virtual schooling, maintaining parent-child relationships, and taking care of their family.

Increasing hopes to improve family relationships and overall mental health led our STUF Life Education program to see over one thousand participants in our classes to learn how to adjust to these changes. From learning about behavioral psychology to applicable relationship improvements, Life Education workshops led us to use our learnings, immediately, in our homes through a customizable, multifaceted curriculum. One attendee in the “Brain Exercising and Mind Health Improvement” course saw a change in their mindset: “I can live every day, happily, with strong motivations of diligence, comfort and brain-building. Because of my participation and activities, my family, friends, and relatives are in a healthy mind and constantly learning. [The class] helped me to develop my self-discipline, self-confidence and self-esteem!”

A study during the national lockdown of Italy in October 2020 (Morelli, University of Rome 2020) found that parents who had a positive mindset, including self-confidence and self-discipline, saw high levels of happiness and good psychological well-being in their children. Therefore, it is important, especially during these times, to take care of ourselves and to improve our relationships with our loved ones. By doing so, we can bring more happiness and love to our family and friends.
