Who can apply to be a volunteer?
Any student who is now enrolled in grades 8-12 can apply (that means he/she will enter 9th or upper grade this fall).

How many volunteer positions are there each year?
The number of volunteer positions is limited according to the camp size and varies from location to location. A camp session can need as little as ten volunteers or as many as 50.

How are volunteers selected?
Volunteers will be selected based on their relevant experiences, leadership skills, and demonstration of their commitment to serving the children of our community. However, don’t wait until the last minute to apply. Since there will be numerous qualified students, the rule of “first come first served” will apply as well.

How many camp sessions can I apply to?
Applicants may apply to a maximum of 3 camp sessions and may be selected for service for all three sessions selected. Please only apply to the sessions you are able and willing to volunteer at! Applying to more sessions will not increase your odds of being selected.

Is there any cost for volunteers?
A $5 non-refundable application processing fee will be required at the time of application. The $100 deposit will be collected after you are selected to be a volunteer at our summer camps. The deposit will be returned upon completion of all service obligations.

What are the camp hours for volunteers?
Sun 1:00pm-5:00pm
Mon 7:00am-6:30pm
Tue-Thurs 7:30am-6:30pm
Fri 7:30am-5:30pm

How many service hours will be awarded?
Volunteers must attend the camp for the whole session and cannot leave early. A maximum of sixty service hours may be awarded at the end of camp.

Will there be any training prior to camp?
Yes. Please review our application packet to understand all training requirements for this year.
