因應新冠疫情後的生活型態，並顧及遠地舊生上課權益，慧智中文學校自 2021 年起，已正式改制為"線上"教學之中文學校。

學期中規劃 30 週「線上"同步"學習」，每週安排 2 則「線上"非同步"延伸學習資源」。藉由多元的課程設計，提供更多接觸華語和文化的環境，延展孩子在語言與文化中的體驗，豐富學習的樂趣。

【線上同步學習】

• 同步上課（30 週）
• 每週上課 90 分鐘（上課日期請見行事曆）
• 每週三 4:00 ~ 5:30 pm (太平洋/加州時間)
• 單元設計、多媒體教學、課文導讀、認讀習寫、句型練習、互動問答、分組練習、遊戲式增強、及延伸創造思考等

【線上非同步延伸學習】

• 各班提供
• 每週 2 則課外的線上資源
• 多元內容：如影片、歌曲、故事、童謠、唱遊、繪本、成語、節慶、文字、歷史、民俗等
• 鼓勵學生課餘時間自主學習
• 增加親子間互動與話題的材料，創造富含文化底蘊的家庭傳統

The pandemic has reshaped our norms in many aspects of life. WCEO Chinese Language School has formally restructured for online teaching since the school year of 2021.

During the school year, there will be 30 sessions of “synchronous" online lessons and 2 resources for “asynchronous" online extended learning per week. The course design provides our children with more opportunities to expand their encounters of Mandarin language and culture learning, and also enhances the fun of learning.

【Synchronous Online Lesson】

• Synchronous learning（30 sessions）
• 90 minutes each session（see calendar for dates）
• Wednesdays, 4:00 ~ 5:30 pm (Pacific/California Time)
• planned units, multi-media teaching, guided text reading, reading & writing, sentence patterns, interactive conversations, breakout room/small group practice, reinforcement with learning games, and forster creative thinking, etc.

【Asynchronous Online Extended Learning】

• Class based
• 2 online resources after each session
• Diversed contents: videos/films, songs, stories, rhymes, poems, picture books, idioms, festivals, words/language, history, folklore, etc.
• Encourage students to learn independently in their spare time
• Provide materials for parent-child interaction, and create family traditions rich in cultural heritage

  【Textbook Pick Up】

  • 3 weeks before the start of the school year, we will e-mail parents for textbook pick-up.
